HVAC Systems Planning Engineer (All genders)

Your mission

To strengthen our technical planning team, we are looking for a dedicated specialist planner, technician, or engineer for air conditioning and ventilation systems in the specialty vehicle sector.

With us, you won’t be designing standard HVAC systems; instead, you’ll be integrating air conditioning and ventilation systems into highly specialized vehicles for broadcasting, incident command, and government communications. Your key contribution will be ensuring that the technology, operating personnel, and vehicle architecture work together reliably, even under demanding operating conditions.
  • Be responsible for developing and implementing project-specific air conditioning and ventilation concepts in the field of specialty vehicle manufacturing for broadcasting and government agencies.
  • Oversee projects from the technical design phase through detailed planning and coordination with customers, suppliers, and internal departments, all the way to commissioning.
  • Assist with technical cost estimates, material procurement, and the coordination of project-related cost items.
  • Determine the requirements of the installed system in terms of cooling capacity, airflow, air volume flow, and ventilation noise, and use this information to develop customized solutions.
  • Prepare the project documentation for HVAC systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the installation team, oversee the commissioning, testing, and acceptance of the planned systems, and ensure their reliable operation within the overall system.
  • Train customers and users on how to operate the installed HVAC systems.

Your profile

  • You have a college degree, vocational training as a refrigeration technician, HVAC technician, or a comparable qualification. Some professional experience is a plus, but technical understanding, a willingness to learn, and an interest in specialty vehicles are more important.
  • You have experience in the technical planning and implementation of HVAC systems, ideally also in vehicle manufacturing.
  • In addition to your technical expertise, you impress us with your sense of responsibility, reliability, and team spirit.
  • You have the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • A solution-oriented approach is important to you.
  • Even during dynamic project phases, you maintain a clear overview, prioritize with a focus on solutions, and communicate clearly with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • You are willing to provide support outside of regular working hours in exceptional project-related cases.
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office applications. CAD skills are a plus.
  • You have very good German and English skills and can confidently coordinate technical matters with clients, partners, and internal project teams.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support our projects at client and partner sites or at various company locations.
